New guidelines for communicating about ecosystem restoration

Ecosystem restoration means restoring the balance of nature, bringing benefits to people, biodiversity and the planet. Communications has an important role to play in supporting the growing movement, explaining restoration work in a public-friendly way, and helping projects achieve their aims.

These guiding principles of ecosystem restoration communications, authored by Trillion Trees, 1t.org, UN Decade on Restoration, Nature4Climate, and Laura de Molière PhD, set out what good communications practice should look like and how to go about achieving it. 

These include top tips on grounding your communications in science and evidence; using narrative and storytelling to bring projects to life; highlighting diverse perspectives, and fostering collaboration and partnership.
