Trillion Trees at UN Climate Change Conference 27
Our planet is reaching crisis point. The time for words and promises is over – we need urgent action from the entire world if we are to come anywhere close to meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement and keep global warming below 1.5°C.
The UNFCCC COP27 represents an important opportunity for global governments, NGOs and actors to come together to scale-up efforts to help people and nature adapt to climate change, implement climate solutions and deliver an equitable, net-zero future.
As sponsors of the Nature Positive Pavilion (Nature Zone), we’re proud to come together with others to raise the profile of action to protect, manage and restore natural ecosystems for the benefit of the world’s peoples, the climate and biodiversity.
Without nature, our world would have already exceeded 1.5 degrees. There is no Net Zero, resilience or adaptation to climate change without nature based solutions. Forests are one of the most effective nature-based solutions in our fight against climate change and are equally as important in protecting the biodiversity upon which all life depends.
Trillion Trees is involved in a number of events and meetings with the objective of driving forward the agenda for forests as a climate solution, and as vital sources of life-giving ecosystems which must be both protected and restored.
